ANIMAL BIOSCIENCE BUILDING

Construction operations continue on the Animal Bioscience Building, a 40,000 square feet 3 story building which will ultimately house the Animal and Range Sciences Department of the College of Agriculture. 66% of the project has been funded by donations with the remainder by the State.
The building will incorporate classrooms, teaching laboratories, conference rooms and offices, in addition to a glazed atrium entrance communal gathering area overlooking Mandeville Creek. The project included the realignment and naturalization of a section of Mandeville Creek with a new pedestrian bridge over the creek.
Part of the Greenhouse Parking Lot is being utilized for construction staging and through traffic from Deer Street has been blocked permanently. With the additional work we are hoping that the project will be completed in the summer of 2010.
