HAMILTON HALL RENOVATION

Construction commenced on this $2.6M project in April 2009. The project has been funded jointly with State building improvement funds and MSU maintenance funds, and consists of the structural and architectural renovation of the basement/first floor, full window replacement and external brickwork repairs.

Work on this 100 year old building is the first phase of a larger project to restore the entire building and will eventually incorporate improved stairwells, bathrooms, a fire sprinkler system and an elevator.

The project is anticipated to be completed in summer 2010, along with the removal of the temporary office trailers.

Part of the Hamilton Hall Parking Lot to the east will be closed for construction operations and there will be considerable disruption to occupants of the building. Pedestrian access can be gained via a temporary stair on the west of the building during this phase of construction.
